ARTIST STATEMENT
My inspiration comes from the local beaches, beautiful BC greenery and summer florals. Texture is very important in my artwork. To capture the moments in people’s lives and in nature, I like using several layers of acrylic paint and other mixed media. Although tones may appear subtle, I often introduce dark lines to increase contrast.
My intention in my figurative art is for people to feel a warm peace, the same warm peace I felt when I painted them. In my Abstract art my hope is to create a statement, a conversation of thought and contemplation.
