My inspiration comes from the local beaches, beautiful BC greenery and summer florals. Texture is very important in my artwork. To capture the moments in people’s lives and in nature, I like using several layers of acrylic paint and other mixed media. Although tones may appear subtle, I often introduce dark lines to increase contrast.
My intention in my figurative art is for people to feel a warm peace, the same warm peace I felt when I painted them. My hope is to create a statement, a conversation of thought and contemplation.
